VIVID always offers a spectacle of light and interactive displays. But what are the top things not to miss at this year’s festival in Chatswood?
Light Market
As always the Light Market will be one of the highlights of this year’s Vivid festival in Chatswood. The market stalls have been created from recycled materials and each section has been decorated with various light displays. Inside taste flavours from all over the world including Germany, Spain and the Middle East.
World of Wearable Art
Visit Chatswood Chase by day during Vivid to see the World of Wearable Art fashion exhibition. Originating from New Zealand and created by Dame Suzie Moncrieff in 1987, this fashion show brings the unimaginable to life. This is your chance to see the extraordinary six finalists display their garments in this Chatswood exclusive.
Life in 2050
Life in 2050 gives audiences the chance to see the extraordinary art work of artists Tom Buchanan and Elaine Chiu up close. Every detail of both artists’ paintings comes to life on a huge scale, as a live feed shows audiences every detail of the art work as it is created from scratch and projected onto the side of the Concourse.

Liquid Lies
How much value do you place on honesty? Well this installation will test that. Liquid Lies is managed by a crazy professor and sees participants hooked up to a lie detector. The professor will then ask three questions and make each person a drink based on the honesty of their answers. Will you end up with something sweet or something foul?
Future Scape
The centrepiece of Vivid in Chatswood is Future Scape. Situated at the sails of The Concourse performing arts centre, this exhibit will allow visitors to feel as though they are on a journey through space. With large projections of NASA imagery covering the sails of the Concourse, this is a truly immersive experience.
