A 31-year-old man, identified as the party’s host Matthew Harper, was stabbed in the leg.

Both men were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where they are expected to undergo surgery for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police allege Ratcliff also used “unlawful violence” toward a third person, Ainsley Keir, in the affray “by conduct such that a person of reasonable firmness if present at the scene would have feared for their safety”.

Ratcliff was arrested around 2.30am on Sunday morning and taken to Royal North Shore Hospital to be treated for facial injuries.

Upon release, he was taken to Chatswood Police Station and charged with reckless wounding, wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.

He was refused bail and his case will appear before Downing Centre Local Court on May 23, 2024.
