Federal election 2016: Mosman retiree Deidre Flick says vote 1 Tony Abbott, a ‘modern day Don Quixote’

Mosman retiree Deidre Flick has warned the blue-ribbon electorate about a Labor vote: “They might relocate a detention centre on the lower north shore”.

Deidre Flick is a true-blue Liberal voter.

OH dear! Deidre has got her knickers in a knot.

Deidre Flick, the self-funded retiree from Mosman, is beside herself. What if those Labor ratbags take over the country?

Ms Flick might be mincing around in her fur coat and pearls, but she’s not mincing words about the election.

“If we aren’t careful the Labor Party could well relocate a detention centre on the lower north shore,’’ she warned in her pre-election statement.

Sipping on a cafe latte, having parked her Mercedes illegally outside a Mosman cafe, Ms Flick declared she was not having a bar of lefties, greenies or socialists.

Nor does she want gay marriage (“they’re not ramming that down my throat”, she declared).

Ms Flick was also worried about “reverse gearing” and heaven forbid, if anyone tries to fiddle with her retirement bottom-line.

Ms Flick is the creation of comedian Brent Thorpe and she’s currently airing her political views (which are to the right of Attila the Hun) in the satire Australia Votes 2016 at the Harold Park Hotel.

“I implore all the good decent clean-living people of this electorate to do the right thing and vote one for our very own Tony and Malcolm,’’ she said.

“They aren’t ratbags like those common Labor politicians.

“Tony and Malcolm are modern day Don Quixotes, trying to salvage and preserve everything that has been right and proper in our Great Nation.

Put Labor and that dreadful, common Jacqui Lambie last.”

Australia Votes 2016 has two more performances, this Friday and July 8.
