ONE of Sydney’s landmarks pools is in need of some tender loving care.
The council is calling on the community to have their say on restoration works as the North Sydney Olympic Pool is showing its age.
“It is a nationally iconic place and when we have to redo these things it is very expensive,” North Sydney Council’s general manager Warwick Winn said.
The council is asking the community whether they would like a basic upgrade or a major overhaul to bring the facility up to scratch.
Once the council works out what the community wants then it will be able to put a price on the works.
“This is an opportunity to do something that people can look back in 40 or 50 years time and go ‘weren’t they imaginative’,” he said.

The survey closes on October 19.
