Cold snap brings snow falls to parts of the state — including North Sydney

NORTH Sydney’s Greenwood Hotel become an apres ski venue last weekend — complete with 60 tonnes of snow.

The Blue Mountains was transformed into a winter wonderland over the weekend thanks to plummeting temperatures.

But with snow hope of the real thing reaching North Sydney, 60 tonnes of white fluffiness was shipped in for the occasion.

The snow transformed the Greenwood Hotel into the city’s apres ski destination of choice. Steaming hot tubs, a life-size snow globe and snow cannons were also brought in for the occasion.

And staff couldn’t resist playing around by chucking a few snowballs at each other.

The snow lasted until Sunday but if you missed out don’t worry as there’s still plenty of unusual weather forecast in the North Sydney area.

The adjoining Greenwood Plaza shopping centre unveiled a dusting of snow on Monday morning.

The rooftop will be a white out until Saturday and it boasts a giant snow globe alongside live entertainment.

Eaterie Thr1ve will be serving up wintry treats including maple spice hot chocolate and bone broth.
