A 76-place childcare centre has been proposed for Kissing Point Rd at Turramurra.

Shayne and Nerrilee Lysaght, who have operated the Adventures Preschool and Long Day Centre at Pennant Hills and West Pennant Hills, have applied to Ku-ring-gai Council to demolish a house at 102 Kissing Point Rd and build a centre.

The business would be about 700m west of Turramurra Public School.

The trading hours would be 7am to 6.30pm on weekdays, according to planning documents.

The centre would offer 16 places for babies, 20 for toddlers and 40 for preschool-aged children.

There would be 14 to 15 staff.

The centre would have an underground carpark for 17 vehicles. Two uncovered parking spaces would also be provided.

People can make submissions to the council about the application.

The council will consider feedback and decide whether to approve the application.
