What did this little girl ask Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to do?

LITTLE Jenna Xenos didn’t just get a selfie with the Prime Minister this week, she handed him a letter with an important request.

PRIME Minister Malcolm Turnbull could do well to work with this little girl on his latest political battle.

Jenna Xenos was thrilled when Mr Turnbull turned up at her family’s Greek restaurant in Crows Nest on Monday morning for a coffee meeting with local businesses.

And the seven-year-old didn’t just get a selfie with him, she seized the opportunity to hand him an important letter with a key request.

“I’m sick of hearing about people hurting and punching each other,” she said.

Jenna wants to find a solution to the problem and asked Mr Turnbull what they could do together to make people more kind.

No doubt she could give some sage advice as he continues his political boxing match with ex-PM Tony Abbott.

Mr Turnbull told Jenna her letter had a “very beautiful message” and sat down with both her and her cousin Dimity-Maree Xenos, 13, for a chat.

He told them that they can both set an example at school with their friends by “respecting each other” and “being kind”.

“It’s about respect. Even if you disagree with somebody, you mightn’t like them very much, you should treat them respectfully,” he said.

“You two girls are a great example and with young people like you I know Australia’s future is in very safe hands.”

Xenos Restaurant has been in the family for almost 50 years.
