THIS bear knows how to keep it cool.
As Sydney swelters in soaring temperatures, the animals at Taronga Zoo enjoyed icy treats to beat the heat.
Mary the sun bear couldn’t wait to get her claws into her frozen snack and instantly gave it the lick of approval.
Keepers prepared large ice blocks filled with the animals’ favourite foods just in time for the heatwave. The blocks are keeping them cool and enriched throughout the hot day.
Over at the gorilla enclosure, tots Fabumi, 18 months, and Mjukuu, 2, were thrilled to wake up to a super cool breakfast.
The pair had great fun investigating the ice blocks and it didn’t take long for them to work out how refreshing they were in the warm weather.
Curious Mjukuu cooled down by licking the ice block and the adult gorillas also took their turn enjoying the frozen treat.
There was also no chance Kwikila the Goodfellow’s tree kangaroo was going to suffer in the heat. The golden cutie grabbed a garden hose and had a cooling drink of water from her treetop perch.
