A stash of sex toys and drugs were allegedly found in Mosman after a crash that destroyed the garden of a multi-million home, a witness said.

Raglan St resident Bob Vanderwild was woken by an almighty smash at 3am on Wednesday morning.

He looked outside and realised that a vehicle had knocked down his garden wall.

“Everything was everywhere. It was one big mess,” Mr Vanderwild said.

“I saw a van backing out of the garden and he started taking off.

“I thought ‘No way you are not getting away with that’.”

His wife found his keys and phone, and in his underwear he ran outside and jumped over the rubble to get to his car cutting his feet on the way.

Just 400m along Raglan St he noticed a van on the street unable to move.

Police soon arrived on the scene and the driver allegedly told them he was visiting his girlfriend in Mosman.

Mr Vanderwild was advised to return home and police then turned up at his doorstep and said they didn’t charge the driver.

“While sitting in the garden the police radio goes off,” he said.

A man was allegedly climbing on the roof of a Calypso Ave home trying to retrieve a bag off the roof above the garage. Police rushed to the scene and Mr Vanderwild was later told that there was drugs and “sinister sex toys” in the bag.

“Stuff you wouldn’t believe existed,” he said.

Mr Vanderwild is now dealing with major damage to his property which could cost up to $100,000 to repair. A brick wall was knocked down and there was damage to the path, pots and plants.

Mr Vanderwild has thanked his neighbours for their support.
