Teen boys charged after allegedly crashing BMW stolen during Mid-North Coast break-in
A pair of teens, one just 15, allegedly broke into a Mid-North Coast home, demanded BMW keys and crashed the stolen car in what has been described as “post and boast” offending.

A pair of teenage boys allegedly broke into a Mid-North Coast home, demanded the keys to a BMW and crashed the stolen car in what has been described as “post and boast” offending.
NSW Police alleges the crimes were recorded and posted to a social media app.
Manning/Great Lakes Police District officers were called following a break-in at a home on Boomerang Drive, Boomerang Beach in Pacific Palms about 3am on Monday.
Officers allege the boys aged just 15 and 17 entered the home and demanded the keys from a resident before driving off.
Police tracked the vehicle to The Lakes Way at Tiona a short time later and officers tried to stop the BMW.
“When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, continuing towards Forster,” a police statement reads.
The teens “collided with a police vehicle before driving away”, police state. It’s alleged the pair then lost control and crashed into a building on Wharf Street.
Police searched the area and arrested the boys, who were taken to Forster Police Station.
The younger boy was charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, use etc offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention etc, never licensed person drive vehicle on road, and commit s 154A offence & disseminate.

Both were refused bail to appear before a children’s court today (Monday 25 November 2024).
The 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter, stealing a car, police pursuit (not stop, drive dangerously), using an offensive weapon to prevent detention, driving without ever having held a licence and a dissemination charge (described by police as a post and boast offence).
The 17-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter, being carried in a stolen car and using an offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention.
Both were refused bail and were due to face the Children’s Court of NSW on Monday.
