There has been court delays in relation to the fourth person charged over the alleged stabbing death of a man dropped at a Taree hospital suffering multiple wounds to his abdomen.
Jodie Mackenzie, 50, was due to face Taree court on Monday charged with being an accessory after fact to murder and wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Taree court heard that the lawyer listed to represent her had a conflict in the case and Port Macquarie lawyer Michael Dampney would be taking on the matter.
Mr Dampney was unable to dial in to the court and the matter adjourned to May 30.
A man and two women were arrested and charged earlier this month – 31-year-old Matthew Ronald Bennis, 25-year-old Kaia Lynn Ridgeway and 50-year-old Sheree Cross.
Following further inquiries, Mackenzie was arrested at Forster Police Station on Friday afternoon and refused bail to appear at Port Macquarie Local Court on Saturday.
On April 23, police responded to a reports of a man suffering from life-threatening stab wounds at Manning Base Hospital
The 38-year-old was assessed at the scene, however, he could not be revived.
Police said initial inquiries suggested the Taree man was injured at an address on Heath Ave in Tuncurry, before he was driven to hospital by a family member.
