A Taree woman, 25, has been treated by paramedics after she allegedly crashed a stolen motorcycle into a car during a police pursuit through the centre of town.

A Taree woman who allegedly crashed a stolen motorcycle into a car during a police chase has been charged after treatment to her injuries.
Police allege officers saw a woman riding the motorcycle, which they said was not sporting number plates, along Kanangra Drive in Taree about 2pm on Tuesday.
They allege a chase began after the woman failed to stop.
The pursuit allegedly continued to Taree’s busy Commerce Street before it was terminated.
Police allege the rider continued to the intersection of Commerce and High streets, before she collided heavily with the side of a Nissan Navara.
As officers approached, the rider allegedly fled the scene on foot.
Police allege the rider ran along Little Wynter Street before Sharntel Maree Collins was arrested after officers found her in the backyard of a private property.
Collins, 25, was taken to Taree police station where she was treated by paramedics.
She was later charged with a range of offences including police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, drive conveyance taken without consent of owner, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug more than indictable (less than commercial) quantity, and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.
Collins was refused bail by police and appeared before Taree Local Court on Wednesday where she was formally bail refused to reappear later this month.
