A Mid-North Coast real estate agent admitted to driving after “having a line of cocaine with a mate” when he was pulled over by Forster police – but that was not the only drug found in his system.
Todd Myles Hinsby from Forster has pleaded guilty to driving his white Audi A5 Coupe with an illicit drug in his system.
It’s the second offence of its kind for the 38-year-old, according to Taree Local Court documents.
Hinsby was stopped by police for a random breath test at the Mobil service station at 127 The Lakes Way, Forster about 10am on December 13 last year.
Asked if he had taken illegal drugs recently, Hinsby admitted to using cocaine and an oral fluid test was carried out by officers.
The results showed both methylamphetamine (ice) and cocaine in Hinsby’s system.
On Tuesday, defence lawyer Gus Farland asked the magistrate for an adjournment to seek more information on Hinsby’s traffic history prior to sentencing.
The magistrate agreed and the case was adjourned to August 27.
