Port Macquarie stolen car chase: Police calling for witnesses following pursuit

Police are calling for information after officers chased a stolen car through a Mid-North Coast CBD in the early hours of the morning.

Port Macquarie police officers chased a stolen car through the city CBD in the early hours of Tueday morning.

At around 4am on March 15, a pursuit began when officers spotted a stolen red Ford Falcon sedan.

The car had been reported missing from Braemar Dr, sparking a short police pursuit.

Officers chased the vehicle along Hastings River Dr, as well as Clifton Dr and through to the Oxley Hwy.

Local officers decided to terminate the brief pursuit due to the alleged dangerous manner in which the Falcon was being driven.

The stolen car was last seen on the Oxley Hwy early this morning, with police now calling on the public to help identify the driver.

Officers questioned nearby locals on Tuesday morning, but are still seeking more information.
