Port Macquarie: Police issue appeal to find man suspected of assaulting two teenagers

Police have released an image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the assault of two teenage boys on the Mid-North Coast.

Police are on the hunt for a man suspected of assaulting two teenage boys in the Port Macquarie CBD.

About 11.40am on Monday, two 15-year-old boys were walking west along William St, towards the intersection of Munster St, when they were approached by an unknown man.

The man allegedly verbally abused the pair before the teenagers walked away towards Murray St.

A short time later, the man and the teenagers spoke again at the intersection of Hay and William streets before the man allegedly grabbed one of the boy’s shoulders and pushed him to the ground.

The teens were assisted by two passers-by as the man walked west towards Horton St.

The two boys attended Port Macquarie Police Station and reported the incident.

As investigations continue, Mid-North Coast police have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He is described as being of caucasian appearance, with an average build, and dark brown hair slicked to one side. He was seen wearing jeans, slides, a tan jacket and a satchel bag over his shoulder.
