A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash involving a car and truck occurred north of Kew. Authorities are working to clear the road so it can be reopened properly to traffic.

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) has advised a crane may be bought in to stand a truck back upright after its trailers rolled on their side.
Authorities rushed to the scene after the b-double - carrying food produce - collided with a car just before 10am on Wednesday.
FRNSW crews attended the scene to find both drivers had evacuated their vehicles, thankfully neither of them becoming trapped after the crash.
A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with chest pains, where he remains in a stable condition, while the other driver sustained no injuries.
A FRNSW hazmat vehicle also attended the accident to decanter the truck’s fuel tank, which was leaking.
The car has since been towed, but FRNSW has advised more will need to be done to get the truck back on its wheels, suggested a crane or heavy haulage recovery vehicle may be called.
The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) have advised the northbound lanes may be fully closed, to set up a contraflow lane, at some point later today.
They anticipate a tow truck for the semi-trailer could take up to six or seven hours to arrive.

A man has been rushed to hospital after a crash involving a car and truck north of Kew on Wednesday.
Emergency services were called to the on the Pacific Hwy at Herons Creek around 9.45am on October 12.
Two patients were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics, with one being rushed to Port Macquarie Base Hospital following complaints of chest pain.
The other male patient was assessed at the scene, but not taken to hospital.
Northbound traffic has been impacted, with Live Traffic NSW advising motorists slow down and exercise caution.
