Lake Cathie resort: Cinema, gym, indoor lawn bowls among plans for luxurious $15m

A new, luxurious retirement resort has been approved for Lake Cathie. Boasting indoor lawn and ten-pin bowls, the $15m GemLife complex also includes a cinema, pool, tennis court and gym.

A luxury lifestyle resort for the over 50s will be built at Lake Cathie, after plans were approved for the $15 million development to go ahead.

The new GemLife Rainbow Beach complex will be built along Ocean Dr, directly adjacent to the existing Ocean Club Resort and about 2km from the centre of Lake Cathie.

Plans for the luxury resort include 166 dwellings, a tennis court and a suite of lavish lifestyle and recreational options occupied inside the resort Club House.

These include a ground-floor gym, ten-pin bowling lanes, sauna, bar and an outdoor deck comprising of a 25m pool and spa.

Above it on level 1 is an indoor lawn bowls area, cinema, gaming lounge, golf simulation room, a second bar and wine room.

There is also an open-air rooftop entertaining area.

GemLife is headed by Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Puljich.

The Mid-North Coast News was unsuccessful in reaching the company for comment, however their website provides a comprehensive overview of the type of lifestyle their resorts offer.

“Located in the beautiful coastal town of Lake Cathie, GemLife Rainbow Beach will offer a tranquil sanctuary in an area renowned for its extraordinary natural beauty and relaxed lifestyle.

“Minutes from stunning beaches, oceanfront subtropical rainforest, protected national parks and the State’s second largest estuarine lagoon, GemLife Rainbow Beach is the perfect place to begin a whole new life.”

It will be the tenth complex built for the company, which has nine other locations spread across three states.
