Kempsey: Man hit and killed by truck, police investigating

Emergency services were called to the Old BP Service Station on Macleay Valley Way, near Goulds Lane, Clybucca, following reports a man had been hit by a truck.

A man has been struck and killed by a truck on the state’s Mid-North Coast.

Officers from Mid North Coast Police District are investigating after the incident in Kempsey about 12.50am on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to the Old BP Service Station on Macleay Valley Way, near Goulds Lane, Clybucca, following reports a man had been hit by a truck.

On arrival, officers found the body of a man in the parking bay of the known truck stop.

The driver of the truck was taken for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established and an investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
