40-year-old victim escapes group bashing at McDonald’s Port Macquarie with minor injuries
Police have charged a teenager and investigations are continuing after a man was allegedly attacked by a number of people in the carpark of a Port Macquarie Macquarie fast food chain last week.

A 40-year-old Port Macquarie man has escaped with minor injuries after a physical fight with multiple people, which saw him allegedly punched and kicked a number of times.
The alleged victim made his way from a licensed premises to the Bay St McDonald’s with a friend at around 10pm on Wednesday.
The man became involved in a verbal argument with a person and several of his male friends out the front of the fast food restaurant, which escalated into a physical fight.
According to police, what started as a two-person assault saw others join in, with the victim allegedly being punched a number of times and kicked in the head and back while on the ground.
The 40-year-old was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital where he was cleared of any serious injuries and discharged with minor facial grazes.
A 15-year-old Port Macquarie boy has been charged with affray and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and he will appear before the Children’s Court on May 2.
Police are continuing to follow up other potential people involved, with eyewitnesses and CCTV footage being used in the investigation.
