Woman rescued from Barrenjoey Lighthouse walking track after medical episode
An All Terrain Vehicle was used to help in the dramatic rescue of a woman who suffered a medical episode while on a rugged walking track at Palm Beach.

A rescue operation had to be launched after a woman suffered a medical episode on the walking track to Barrenjoey Lighthouse at Palm Beach.
Emergency services were called at about 11.45am after reports that a woman needed medical assistance.
An NSW Ambulance spokesman confirmed a 48-year-old woman had suffered a medical episode and three ambulances were sent to the scene.
Northern Beaches Council Lifeguards, working at Palm Beach, helped in the rescue operation. They ferried paramedics to the woman aboard their All Terrain Vehicle.
The ambulance spokesman revealed that the woman had not fallen, or suffered any trauma in the incident.
“The woman was treated by paramedics before being taken to a waiting ambulance and driven to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.” he said.
