NEWBORN Jeremiah Blaikie is probably the most adored little boy on the beaches with his mum resorting to setting a timer so his four older sisters can all get an equal amount of cuddle time.
Alison Blaikie, 38, of Elanora Heights, said her beautiful little boy was born weighing 3.56 kilos on December 5 at Northern Beaches Hospital.
Although they were completely happy with their four girls they decided to try again and this time they were all excited to learn they were having a boy.
“The girls are besotted with him and I think he will be over loved,” Mrs Blaikie said.
“We have to use a timer so each one can have a five minute cuddle after his feed.”
Mrs Blaikie said her first two children were born in Abu Dhabi and her second two at Mona Vale Hospital.
While she was sad to see Mona Vale Hospital’s maternity unit close, she had excellent treatment as a public patient at the new hospital where she had a c-section and was keen to let people know some good news.
“The level of care is fantastic,” she said.
“The midwives were amazing and the facilities fantastic.”
Mrs Blaikie said she wasn’t done yet and she and her husband were both crazy enough to try for number six.
“We are a bit crazy and we like even numbers,” she said.
“We are not closed to going for number six.”
