Works has commenced to improve the Whistler St Carpark in Manly.
Following community feedback, the Northern Beaches Council said it decided to undertake renovations to improve user experience, as well as carry out remedial maintenance.
The upgrade work will include the refurbishment of the toilets and adjacent external areas, and general painting.
It will also include new line markings and signage as well as electrical and lighting upgrades, together with the cleaning of columns and concrete surfaces.
Maintenance work will also be carried out on the carpark structure, entry and exit lanes and equipment.
Throughout the works, the carpark will remain open; however, certain floors may be closed while work is being completed.
Council’s general manager of environment & infrastructure, Ben Taylor, thanked people for their patience while the upgrade is underway.
“The Whistler Street Carpark is in immediate need of a refresh and general maintenance works,” he said.
“We will do all we can to minimise any inconvenience to users.
“In the meantime, there are three other carparks in Manly which are available.
These are the Manly National and Pacific Waves carparks in Central Avenue, and the Peninsula Carpark in Wentworth Street.”
