Teen hospitalised after Balgowlah Heights spider bite

A teen on Sydney’s northern beaches was rushed to hospital after a suspected spider bite.

A teenager was rushed to hospital after a suspected spider bite on Saturday afternoon.

The 19-year-old and a friend were walking along a bush track towards Reef Beach, Balgowlah Heights, just before 5pm.

They called the emergency services after the 19-year-old man is thought to have been bitten by a spider.

It is thought the pair, who are understood to have been drinking, panicked and called triple-0.

NSW Ambulance and NSW Police responded.

They treated the teen for what is believed to have been a spider bite.

Paramedics said he had a bite mark on his upper arm.

As a precaution he was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition.
