A northern beaches man has captured stunning footage of Sydney’s coastline on his drone.

Karl Reynolds, of Allambie Heights, spent four months filming footage between Palm Beach and Manly.

Mr Reynolds said he would often go on adventures with his two children and decided to showcase the experience through the use of his drone.

“I just thought, what can I do with this rather than just flying it around,” he said.

“I started to think about the story I wanted to tell.

“We love the northern beaches and I wanted to showcase all the little spots that are well known — and maybe not as well known — by creating the film.”

Mr Reyonds said the footage was filmed between March and June last year before he underwent a rigorous editing process.

Asked what his favourite part of the footage was, Mr Reynolds said: “I love climbing up to the (Barrenjoey Head) lighthouse at Palm Beach.”

The project was filmed over four months.

“The perspective you get up there, looking back south — and also looking north — is amazing.

“It’s just a sublime experience being up there.”
