Northern beaches club Manly Warringah is celebrating six players being named in NSW state teams ahead of the 2021 nationals but two sets of sisters and players from outside Sydney have also made the cut for top squads.
Manly Warringah netballers Charli Fidler, Chelsea Mann and Audrey Little secured their positions in the NSW U19 squad, giving the northern beaches the highest representation in the team which also boasts players from across Sydney and regional NSW.
Sophie Fawns, who hails from Wagga, has also been named alongside fellow Swifts Academy training partners Little with sisters Natalie and Amy Sligar from Camden and District also selected.
Little’s sister Eugenie is also a talented netballer, earning selection in the U17 NSW team.
And while three northern beaches players - Grace Whyte, Eloise Egan and Little - have made the U17s, so too have players from the NSW south coast and Newcastle.
Emma Keane from Shoalhaven and Millie Tonkin from Newcastle made the cut along with Swifts Academy member Papi Alaalatoa from Liverpool City.
The nationals for the U19 and U17 teams will be played in Hobart from July 6-11.
Metro and Regional Emerging teams have also been named ahead of a regional best-of-three competition at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra in July.
