RSPCA inspector, Ryan Anderson scooped the title of Tinder X Cosmopolitan Bachelor of the year at a ceremony last night.
And the charity worker from near Adelaide, SA, plans to donate some of his $5000 winnings to animal charities.
The 30-year-old animal lover beat competition from 29 other finalists from across Australia to take out the title — which replaces the Cleo magazine contest — at a party at The Ivy Pool Bar in Sydney.
And he reckons his canine pal, Goose, helped him win.
He was snapped in his photo shoot with the rottweiler, and also runs an Instagram page called @aussiedogguy
“People are suckers for dogs and I try to promote as much rescue dogs as possible,” he said.
“I think that largely played a big part.”
“It’s really surreal for me — I come from such a small town.”
He said he was disappointed he couldn’t bring the dog with him
Mr Anderson was discovered on dating app Tinder, like a selection of the contestants, and said he’d like to meet a woman who is “keen on camping and dogs” but added he didn’t really have a type.
“Someone who just likes me to me- I’m not really picky. genuine, down to earth, girl next door type.,” he said.
Reality TV stars including Kiki, Keira and Olena from The Bachelor and Kristie, winner of Survivor, were at the party.
