Previous Belrose Hotel owners buy it back for $23m
Former owners of the popular Belrose Hotel, on Sydney’s northern beaches, have brought it back after they previously sold it six years ago.

THE popular Belrose Hotel has been sold back to one of its original owners.
Redcape Hotel Group, which bought the pub and bottle shop in Hews Pde from the Bayfield family in 2012 for a reported $22 million, has sold it back to them.
The Australian has reported the Bayfields paid $23 million last month to get the pub back.
During the past 40 years the Bayfields have owned a number of hotels on the northern beaches including the Dee Why Hotel, the Narrabeen Royal Antler Hotel, the Newport Arms, the Newport Mirage as well as the Belrose Hotel.
Redcape CEO Dan Brady described the Belrose Hotel, which has 25 poker machines, as a “genuine community hotel”.
It won national awards for Outstanding Community Service and Achievement.
“Having redeveloped the Belrose Hotel some years ago, Bayfield Hotels are an obvious and natural owner and we wish them well,” Mr Brady said.
Bayfield Hotels’ chief operating officer Kaine Bayfield told online publication Australian Hotelier “there were a few things that appealed to us about the hotel.”
“The northern beaches location. The food- and family- focused hotel suits our business model and strengths,” he said. “We also feel we know the hotel pretty intimately being previous owners and having originally developed the site to the hotel you see today. We are also familiar with the local community surrounding the hotel and look forward to re-engaging with them.”
