Police have released CCTV vision of two men who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries into offensive posters which targeted Warringah MP Tony Abbott overnight.

Police have released CCTV of two men who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries into offensive posters, which targeted Warringah MP Tony Abbott, and were plastered around Manly overnight.

About 7am today detectives from the Northern Beaches Police Area Command became aware of posters that had been pasted onto walls in four separate locations on Manly Rd and Henrietta Ln.

The posters depicted an image of Mr Abbott, with offensive language written across the top.

As investigations continue, police are searching for two men depicted in CCTV images who are described as being Caucasian in appearance, both aged in their late 20s or early 30s.

One man was wearing a yellow beanie and a white T-shirt with jeans and work boots. He has a tattoo on the inside of his right arm, and a moustache.

The other man was wearing a black hoodie with a black peak cap and dark blue trackpants. He has a beard and a moustache.

Anyone who may have information that could assist with their inquiries should contact Manly Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
