Two masked men are being hunted by police after a teenager was slashed across the back with a knife in a brazen daylight attack on the northern beaches.

A teenager was slashed across the back with a knife by two others wearing masks in a brazen daylight attack on Sydney’s northern beaches.
The 17-year-old victim was chased by the pair along a dead-end street near Warringah Mall at Brookvale, before he was wounded at about 3.30pm on Sunday.
He was slashed between his ribs and hips while trying to get away from the two teenage males in Funda Pl.
The attackers were both said to be wearing masks and hooded tops.
The victim managed to get away before making his way to Beacon Hill Rd, Beacon Hill, several hundred metres away.
Police said that at about 3.45pm, emergency services were called to Beacon Hill Rd, after reports of a stabbing.
Officers were told a 17-year-old male had been assaulted by two males who were armed with a knife.
The injured teen was treated at the scene by ambulance paramedics for what was described as a “slash wound” and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police set up two crime scenes – along Beacon Hill Rd and in Funda Pl.
Officers were out again on Monday morning knocking on residents’ doors, looking for witnesses.
