Northern Beaches crime manager Insp Craig Wonders said the money was allegedly concealed in the roof cavity of the home but while the dog was on hand, it wasn’t needed because police found allegedly found it.

The money was mainly $50 banknotes that were bundled with elastic bands.

“The money is believed to be the proceeds of crime,” he said.

“We’ll allege the money is the proceeds of the sale and supply of drugs on the northern beaches.

“This is another demonstration of the local area command’s commitment to identify and target those involved in the sale, supply and distribution of drugs in the area.”
