Westfield is launching its first dog-devoted space – complete with multiple indoor playgrounds and a chill-out room for pooches – at Warringah Mall.

The three playgrounds feature trees, dog dens with rocks and log tunnels, while the quiet zone

has stars in the sky for those that need some time out.

Hanrob Playgrounds will run the centre which is due to open on October 28 and will offer daycare, dog obedience training, professional grooming and premium retail.

For Westfield it marks a huge move away from just providing retail, food and healthcare to its customers.

A Westfield spokesman told the Manly Daily that the group was always looking to grow with their community and with the northern beaches being such a huge lover of pets, this was a logical place to launch.

Andrew Biggs, CEO and owner of Hanrob said they had a lot of fun designing the playgrounds to suit all types of dogs.

On the Hanrob website it said: “For the more reserved visitors, we even offer a quiet retreat to prevent anxiety and overwhelm.

“Whatever the preferences of your dog or their preferred style of play, our highly-trained staff and expertly designed playgrounds are built to meet their needs and provide them with hours of fun.”

It comes as a new indoor childcare playground that has got northern beaches mums excited is also opening at Warringah Mall.

It’s branded as a modern indoor playground with a twist.

The Chatswood venue has soft ball pits and other climbing equipment, as well as separate areas for different age groups and a cafe for parents.

The centre also incorporates augmented reality, where children can test their skills against interactive displays pictured on the wall.

For adults there is a new body shaping and wellness company called Body Catalyst. It helps people lose fat, treat cellulite, tighten loose skin and reduce wrinkles, using technology with a holistic approach and individual treatment plans devised by therapists.

It’s only Level 1, near General Pants.

Meanwhile for the shoppers there are also new stores including sports brand Asics, on Level 1 near Girdlers and the return of Colette by Colette Hayman, in a new location, on Level 1 next to Pandora.
