Neva Liana Lozzi allegedly stole close to $800,000 from Con Ange

A woman who allegedly stole close to $800,000 from her terminally ill boss, Con Ange - who owns a chain of adult sex shops — has entered pleas to 16 fraud charges in Manly Court.

A woman who allegedly stole close to $800,000 from her terminally ill boss has pleaded not guilty to fraud charges.

Neva Liana Lozzi, 44, of Point Piper, is accused of transferring money from the bank account of a company owned by Con Ange, who owns a chain of adult sex shops.

Ms Lozzi, a payroll clerk, is alleged to have made 380 transfers between January 2015 and March 23 this year, totally $787,771.

She pleaded not guilty in Manly Local Court on Tuesday to 16 counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage by deception.

Court documents showed that one of the 16 charges against Ms Lozzi relates to her allegedly obtaining $282,094 from a company bank account. The lowest amount allegedly transferred was $418.

Police have alleged that Ms Lozzi used the money from the Con Ange Group to pay for international holidays, rent, credit card bills, wedding expenses and her children’s private school photos.

The offences are alleged to have occurred at an office in West St, Crows Nest.

Mr Ange has told the media in May that he had been receiving treatment overseas after being diagnosed with for Motor Neurone Disease in 2018.

There businessman told Channel 9 News he had only months to live.

The Manly Local Court registrar adjourned the matter until August 6 for mention.
