Kate Hadwen, principal of Pymble Ladies’ College, which made it into the top 10 lists for primary and secondary schools in Northern Sydney, said that as a a non-selective all-girls’ school, making a top academic list was “great”.

“But an education at Pymble offers so much more than any list could represent,” Dr Hadwen said.

“These results reflect our incredible teaching staff, high impact teaching strategies, and our commitment to student wellbeing, because we all know that girls and young women can achieve absolutely anything they want to when they have a strong sense of self-worth, resilience and purpose.”

To determine how each school performed in 2024, the scores for all five test subjects for the student cohort (year 5 or year 9) were combined and the average found.
