The case against the son of a former rugby league star, accused of being a cocaine supplier, has been stalled in Manly Local Court.
Joch McLean, 27, of Manly, was charged with supplying the drug after police allegedly found 1.2kg of cocaine in a Sydney flat on November 18 last year.
Mr McLean, the son of hard charging former Eastern Suburbs Rooster and Queensland State of Origin forward Mike McLean, denies owning the coke.
But police will allege when they were called to the flat in Victoria Pde, Manly, just after 5.30am after receiving an alleged domestic violence report, they discovered 1.2kg of cocaine. Mr McLean is facing one count of supplying a large commercial quantity of a border controlled drug
In Manly Local Court on Friday, police asked that the matter be adjourned for six weeks to allow officers to obtain the results of a drug analysis test.
Mr McLean, who is on bail and previously ordered by the court to live at an address at Bondi and to lodge a $100,000 cash security deposit, was not in court.
In a previous appearance the court heard that white powder was found inside plastic takeaway containers and a yellow plastic bowl in the unit. About 120 grams of the drug was also found loose in the bottom of a bag.
Mr McLean's solicitor Paul McGirr told the court in November that police had not provided any evidence that the cocaine belonged to his client.
Mr McGirr also told the court there was another person living in the unit.
On Friday, Magistrate Robyn Denes adjourned the matter to Manly Local Court on March 9 for a brief status check.
She continued Mr McLean’s bail.
