Instagram model Monique Marina Agostino charged with multiple burglaries

Sydney Instagram model Monique Marina Agostino has faced court over a string of northern beaches burglaries, which allegedly included breaking into a pizza shop before later using a stolen credit card to purchase food at McDonald’s.

An Instagram model has faced Manly Local Court on Wednesday charged over a series of early morning burglaries on the northern beaches.

Police allege Monique Marina Agostino, 23, of Belrose, broke into cafes and convenience stores in Killarney Heights, Forestville and St Ives in November last year.

Ms Agostino, who lives with her parents, is charged with two counts of break and enter house or building to steal property valued at less than $60,000; break and enter a house or building with intent to steal and; one count each of aggravated break and enter a dwelling in company to steal less than $60,000 and dishonestly obtain property by deception.

Documents tendered to court allege Ms Agostino broke into the Pound of Pizza restaurant at a small shopping centre in Tramore Pl Killarney Heights at 1.52am on November 6 and allegedly stole a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone.

Police also allege Ms Agostino, at 1.54am, then broke into the nearby House of Fruit convenience store with intent to steal.

At 1.56am, police allege she attempted to break into the neighbouring Le Parisen Cafe.

Police allege that at 2.48am on the same day, at St Ives, Ms Agostino broke into the Stanley St Cafe and allegedly stole $300 cash and a Westpac credit card.

At 3.40am, police allege she used the credit to buy food items with a total value of $11.55 at the McDonald’s restaurant in Brookvale.

Police allege that on November 24, Ms Agostino broke into the Forestville Bakery, and allegedly stole $1000, in company of another person.

Bail documents tendered to court said the prosecution would rely on CCTV footage as part of its case.

Ms Agostino has not entered a plea.

Magistrate Michelle Goodwin adjourned the matter to Manly Local Court on February 13 for mention.
