Gym instructor Kyra Pauline Greer, 25, charged with allegedly bashing three women on the 144 bus from Manly

Three women were allegedly bashed by a gym instructor on a public Sydney bus because they were talking too loudly. See what happened in Manly court.

A woman allegedly bashed three women on a public bus because they were talking too loudly, a Sydney court has been told.

Kyra Pauline Greer, 25, “bombarded” one of the women with five punches to the face on the 144 bus from Manly to Chatswood on January 10, police alleged in Manly Local Court.

Ms Greer, a part-time gym instructor of Narraweena, also allegedly used a closed fist to twice punch the second alleged victim in the face and landed another blow to the head of the third woman.

One of the women complained of “blurred vision” after the alleged assaults. Greer did not know any of the alleged victims.

Police alleged, in documents tendered in court on Thursday, that at 5.30pm Greer had become upset that the three women had raised their voices to ask other bus passengers if they had seen one of the women’s mobile phones, which she believed she had dropped on the bus.

Ms Greer made her way to where the three women were sitting and pulled an Apple AirPod from one of the women’s ears, police claimed.

“Stop talking so loud,” Greer said, according to a police facts sheet.

One of the women then allegedly said “can you not touch her” and pushed Greer away.

Greer responded by punching that woman twice in the face, according to the police facts sheet.

She then allegedly punched another woman once in the head before she “began bombarding (a third woman) with another five punches to the face … causing immediate pain and blurred vision”.

A male passenger intervened and ushered Greer to the door of the bus before she got off on Spit Rd, Mosman.

Greer is yet to enter pleas on one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of common assault.

Kyra Greer will be back in Manly court on August 9.

The court was also told that Greer was facing a separate set of charges related to an alleged assault on a male neighbour, she had an alleged falling out with, on October 2 last year when she was living in a block of units at Lane Cove.

In relation to the October 2 allegations, Greer pleaded not guilty to one count each of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, stalk/intimidate intend fear of physical harm and attempt stalk/intimidate intend fear of physical harm.

Greer will be back in Manly Local Court on August 9.
