Allegations that former NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro attacked a news cameraman outside a Manly bar will be heard over a three-day hearing in September 2023.
Mr Barilaro, 51, has denied allegations he assaulted camera operator Matt Costello near Manly Wharf Hotel on July 23.
Mobile footage of the alleged incident was shared online shortly afterwards.
The former politician was not in court when his matter was briefly mentioned at Sydney Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday.
His lawyer Danny Eid appeared before Magistrate Susan Horan, initially asking for a two-day hearing.
“I’m content with two days,” Mr Eid told the court.
The court heard the hearing would take place over three days instead of two at Downing Centre Local Court from September 11-13, 2023.
A mention to confirm the hearing date was set for August 24.
The former NSW Nationals leader has previously pleaded not guilty to one count each of common assault and maliciously or recklessly damage property.
Mr Barilaro resigned from parliament in October 2021.
