Forestville, Warringah Rd: Police chase ends in red light crash at Currie Rd
A man who allegedly led police on a chase on the northern beaches that ended in a crash with another car, has appeared in Manly court.

A driver behind the wheel of a car chased by police who allegedly went through a red traffic light and collided with another vehicle, has appeared in Manly Local Court.
The man, 23, was charged with a string of serious offences after allegedly leading cops on a pursuit from the north shore to the northern beaches early on Friday morning.
Police will allege that after they tried to pull over a blue Mazda on the Pacific Highway at Roseville just after midnight, it drove off onto Boundary St.
The Mazda was then chased east along Warringah Rd before it collided with a Holden Jackaroo 4WD at the intersection with Currie Rd. There were two men in the Holden.
Police alleged that the driver then ran from the crash scene before he was caught in the front yard of a property on nearby Cook St.
Am ambulance was called and the arrested man, the Holden driver and his passenger, were examined by paramedics. Neither man was badly hurt.
The arrested man was then taken to Northern Beaches Hospital at Frenchs Forest for mandatory alcohol testing.
When he was released from hospital he was taken to Manly police station where he was charged with one count each of police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously; proceed through red traffic light; not give way at lights to oncoming vehicle; not give particulars to other driver; fail to stop and assist after impact cause injury; goods in personal custody suspected being stolen; custody of knife in public place – subsequent offence and; an outstanding warrant.
He was granted conditional bail in Manly court to appear again on March 30.
