A Sydney schoolboy was badly hurt when he was hit by a car at a set of traffic lights on the northern beaches on Friday morning.
The boy, 11, suffered leg injuries when he was struck by a small SUV at Belrose.
Emergency services were called to the corner of Forest Way and Morgan Rd just after 8am.
The intersection has button-operated pedestrians lights.

A police vehicle was parked outside the school about 45 minutes after the incident.
About five police vehicles and one ambulance were sent to the scene.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the boy, who they described as being of primary school age, had leg injuries.
“He was taken to Northern Beaches Hospital in a stable condition,” the spokesman said.
Police spoke with the female driver of the SUV that was stopped in a southbound lane on Forest Way.
