BACHELOR hunk Tim Robards has moved to Manly — at least for work.
The chiropractor and fitness entrepreneur even takes the ferry to his office near Manly Corso, where he runs his fitness app, The Robards Method.
And while it’s partly thanks to his business partner — entrepreneur Mike Bray from Balgowlah Heights — that he’s chosen the northern beaches base, he even reckons it could be a good place to move from Bondi to with girlfriend, Anna Heinrich.
“This is like a nice place to be able to raise the kids,” he said.
“Getting on the ferry every morning it's the best start to my day. I get a bit of a walk, see the water.
While Robards, who met lawyer Heinrich on the first Australian series of the TV show in 2013, still works as a chiropractor, he’s pushing his health and fitness app.
And he said now’s the time to start it for summer if you’ve overindulged recently.
He’s developed a 70/20/10 diet.
Followers must eat 70 per cent ‘super clean’, 20 per cent healthier versions of favourite foods, and 10 per guilty treats — coupled with exercise plans.
“If you make simple changes and have something sustainable, by the time summer rolls around you will have got your body back to more of a healthy weight,” he said.
“My ten per cent would definitely be Anna’s mum’s cooking,” said. “She’s like a little MasterChef,” he said.
Robards also had some tips for new bachelor Richie Strahan.
As well as laughing he should invest in a disguise for the show starts next Wednesday, he said board games are the answer to lasting love.
“The biggest thing I found, you have to hide out. you can’t start your normal relationship straight away cause the show is on air,” he said.
“You might meet up once a fortnight — it’s usually some far-out hotel room, and it’s really hard to progress your relationship in that environment.
“Take board games, take old home videos, learn about each other, each other’s family, all that sort of stuff.
“A board game can tell you a lot about someone. how competitive they are, sense of humour ...
“Get a hotel with a kitchen, take food, cook for each other.
“Use that time to learn more about each other. We did that.”
