A toddler suffered burns to his hands and feet after walking on the embers of a campfire at an Elanora Heights home.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was called at around 3pm on Monday and landed 10 minutes later at the property where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the boy.
A CareFlight specialist doctor and an ambulance critical care paramedic conducted a clinical assessment on the patient, including an ultrasound, and gave him pain relief.
CareFlight’s medical team provided ongoing observation for the boy as he was taken by road ambulance to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
