Police are hunting for a man who followed a 27-year-old woman along a street before exposing himself.
It follows a number of other similar incidents across the northern beaches in the past few months, which may or may not be linked.
The latest incident happened on Saturday afternoon at around 3.20pm on Sturdee Pd in Dee Why.
Insp Jill Walters told the Manly Daily the man police are looking for has dark brown hair and was wearing a white or grey Billabong T-shirt and dark grey boardshorts.
He was wearing sunglasses and was in his mid 30s.
The victim told detectives the man had followed her, before approaching her and asking several questions and had then exposed himself.
Insp Walter said this was a serious incident and police were keeping an open mind as to whether it could be linked to other similar incidents that have occurred on the peninsula.
“There have been a number of other incidents like this on the northern beaches,” she said.
“They are not necessarily related but it is quite concerning.
“Detectives are looking into this one and a number of other incidents that have occurred in previous months to see if there are any links.”
She said it was really important for anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.
