COVID-19 alert: 4Pines Manly and Fitness First Balgowlah customers warned to monitor for symptoms

A COVID-19 alert has been issued for a popular bar and a gym on the northern beaches.

NSW Health has issued an alert to anyone who attended a popular Manly bar or a gym on Sunday to monitor for COVID-19 symptoms.

Both locations are considered casual contact.

It comes as nine new cases of the disease were diagnosed in NSW.

Anyone who visited the 4Pines Manly Brew Bar, on The Esplanade on Sunday, August 23, from 3.30pm to 5pm or Fitness First Balgowlah on the same day from 9am to 12pm should get tested right away if displaying symptoms and isolate.

NSW Health says even the most minor symptoms including a runny nose, sore throat or tickly cough should get a test.

The nine new cases of COVID-19 were diagnosed in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in NSW to 3,817.

All of the new cases were locally acquired and linked to known cases, including: five linked to the Sydney CBD cluster and four close contacts of previous cases.

Three of the new cases attended City Tattersalls Club gym, bringing to eight the total number of cases linked to the Sydney CBD cluster.

Anyone who attended City Tattersalls gym between 8am to 2pm on 19, 21 or 23 August is a close contact and must get tested for COVID-19 and isolate at home for 14 days. Other members of City Tattersalls should get tested if they have even the mildest symptoms.
