There has been a new locally acquired COVID-19 case on the northern beaches.
The latest case is in Fairlight and brings the total number of people who have contracted it on the peninsula to 166.
The Fairlight case is linked to a known case or a confirmed cluster, according to NSW Data.
It is the only active COVID-19 case on the peninsula currently.
Two cases recently identified in the 2096 postcode that includes Queenscliff, Freshwater and Curl Curl are now no longer considered active.
NSW Health today announced that there were 10 new cases in NSW in the last 24 hours.
Of the ten new cases to 8pm last night six are returned travellers in hotel quarantine and four are locally acquired and linked to a known case or cluster.
All four locally acquired cases are linked to the CBD cluster.
These include two who are household contacts of previously reported cases and two who are a close contact of previously reported cases.
One previous case from South Eastern Sydney whose source was under investigation has also been linked to the CBD cluster. The case was a passenger on the X39 bus at the same time as another previously reported case and may have shared other exposures. Further investigation is underway. There is now a total of 34 cases associated with this cluster.
NSW Health urges everyone to wear a mask while on public transport.
Among the recent venues on alert is Coles at St Ives Shopping Centre, where someone who was infectious visited on Friday 28 August, between 1pm and 2pm.
Last week NSW Health sent out an alert for two venues on the beaches urging anyone who visited the 4Pines Manly Brew Bar, on The Esplanade on Sunday, August 23, from 3.30pm to 5pm or Fitness First Balgowlah on the same day from 9am to 12pm should get tested right away if displaying symptoms and isolate.
NSW Health says even the most minor symptoms including a runny nose, sore throat or tickly cough should get a test.
