Cops arrest man who allegedly left cocaine in shop

A MAN allegedly left a small plastic bag of cocaine on the counter of a convenience store in Manly before the police spotted it and then saw the man standing outside the shop, allegedly holding a similar bag.

A MAN who allegedly left a small plastic bag of cocaine on the counter of a shop in Manly was also allegedly in possession of another similar bag when arrested by the police.

At 12.30am on Sunday, police were in a convenience store on North Steyne when they saw a small plastic bag of cocaine on the shop counter.

Standing outside the store was a man who appeared to have a similar bag in his hand, so the police approached him and spoke to him.

When the Freshwater man, 26, was asked to open his hand, police allegedly saw him holding a small plastic bag of cocaine, which the man claimed someone had given him.

The man was taken to Manly police station and charged with possessing cocaine.
