A NORTH Narrabeen man has been charged with a string of drug-related offences after his home was raided on Wednesday morning.

During the police raid on the home in Taiyul Rd at 9.45am, police allegedly found a hydroponic set-up and equipment, 18 cannabis plants, cocaine, amphetamine, GHB and cash, all of which was seized.

The 26-year-old occupant of the home was taken to Manly police station for questioning and subsequently charged with 10 offences, including four counts of possessing a prohibited drug, three counts of supplying a prohibited drug, cultivating a prohibited plant, one of dealing with the proceeds of crime and one of handling fireworks without a licence.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Manly Local Court on Wednesday, November 30.

Northern Beaches Police crime manager Inspector Craig Wonders said inquiries into the man’s activities were continuing.

He said the raid was part of ongoing investigations into the manufacture, supply and distribution of drugs on the northern beaches and urged anyone with information about drugs to contact the police.

In late June police allegedly seized nearly 1000 cannabis plants in simultaneous raids at industrial premises at Brookvale and Cromer.

The plants allegedly seized had an estimated potential street value of $3 million.

Police said 565 plants were in a building in Carter Rd at Brookvale and nearly 400 in a building in Villiers Place at Cromer.

Dried cannabis was also allegedly seized at the Cromer premises.

Two homes at Hurstville and Turrella were raided and five men were arrested and charged with numerous offences.

Following the raids in late June, local police travelled to Queanbeyan in September and raided a factory in which cannabis had allegedly been grown.
