Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon: Elderly driver injured in rollover crash
A driver, 87, has been hurt when his car flipped on a busy northern beaches road on Monday morning.

An emergency helicopter was sent to the scene of a serious road accident on the northern beaches.
An elderly man was injured when his car flipped after hitting parked vehicles on Barrenjoey Rd, Avalon Beach, about 11.05am on Monday.
Witnesses reported that the man, 87, apparently lost control of his car, near the Avalon Beach Skate Park, as it was heading north.
The man, who was conscious, was trapped ion the vehicle for close to 30 minutes before he was removed ed from the wreckage by NSW Fire and Rescue and ambulance officers.
A CareFlight rescue helicopter, with an emergency trauma medical team on board, landed in nearby Dunbar Park to fly the injured man to hospital, if needed.
The man was stabilised at the scene by a CareFlight doctor and ambulance paramedics before he was taken by road to Royal North Shore Hospital. The CareFlight doctor travelled in the ambulance with the injured man.
Traffic in the area is severely affected while all northbound lanes were blocked for about 90 minutes during the rescue operation.
One northbound lane was reopened at 12.30pm.
