1992-2020 Pub2PUb fun run: Photo gallery of Dee Why to Newport event

It was the northern beaches’ popular community fun run that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity each year. See if you can find yourself in the massive retro Pub2Pub picture gallery.

It started out as an idea by hotel giant Mark Bayfield and his family in 1992 to organise a 13km run between their Dee Why Hotel and the Newport Arms Hotel to raise a few dollars for local community groups.

The Pub2Pub community fun — which evolved into the Beach2Beach race between the surf life saving clubs at Dee Why and Newport Beaches — went on to become one of the biggest charities on the northern beaches that attracted tens of thousands of participants over the decades.

Take a look at the event over the years.
