$1 million renovation of Queenscliff SLSC has begun

Work has begun on a $1 million renovation of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club to make it a more functional and welcoming space for its members and the wider community.

Work has begun on a $1 million renovation of Queenscliff Surf Life Saving Club to make it a more functional and welcoming space for its members and the wider community.

The $1 million renovations include a new public hall and balcony, a new accessible toilet, a new lift and lift lobby to improve accessibility access, relocated club facilities, re-tiling, new stair balustrades, landings and corridors to improve compliance with building codes and accessibility requirements, additional stairs to allow separation between club member areas and public areas and general painting.

Queenscliff SLSC secured grants totalling $400,000, Northern Beaches Council secured a grant for $150,000 from the NSW Government’s Crown Reserves Improvement Fund and the remaining $500,000 will come from council reserves.

The works are expected to be completed in May.

Public amenities at the south end of the building will not be affected by the construction and access along public paths will be maintained.
