A man has been charged and a firearm, zombie knives and a crossbow were seized after police raided a home in southwest Sydney following investigations into an alleged break-in.
Just after 6am today on Thursday, detectives attached to Sydney City Police Area Command executed a search warrant at a home in Macquarie Fields, in relation to an aggravated break, enter and steal which allegedly occurred in the Sydney CBD last month.
During the search, investigators seized a sawn-off bolt-action rifle, prohibited weapons including a crossbow, two zombie knives, cannabis, and other items allegedly related to the aggravated break and enter.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with possessing an unauthorised firearm, aggravated break and enter dwelling in company and steal, three counts of possessing a prohibited weapon, and possessing a prohibited drug.
He was refused bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court on Friday.
